Be Prepared

Beavers 2009

 

 

Another year has started and we have lots planned.

This term we are going to be doing the Global

Challenge.

This means we will be sampling some foreign foods

and looking at why some countries eat the things

they do. We are going to be learning a ‘Beaver’

greeting in a foreign language. For the last section of the badge we will be looking at ways to save energy.

Do you know any ways???

 

Along side this we are going to be cooking, simple foods like Toasted Sandwiches, with beans or cheese. Yummy.

 

 

 

               Next half term will be all about transport.

Each week we will watch a wacky race cartoon and hope that it helps us to come up with some wacky ideas for our transport models

 

To make sure that the beavers know their Highway Code so can stay safe when out, Luton Borough Council Road safety officer is coming to the colony for a ‘‘Road Safety’ talk & some fun & games.

 

We have a trip organised to go around the town in one of the ‘Bendy buses’, These buses travel between the stations and the airport.

 

To finish the term the Beavers are going to go by train to Bedford, we will meet with the station manager for a tour/talk, before returning home on another train.
